Zeolite for crops

The zeolite offered by Piandirena Zeolite Toscana from Sorano, in the province of Grosseto, is also useful for those involved in the cultivation of vegetables, flowers and fruit trees. In fact, organic fertilizers with zeolite are a truly advantageous solution for farmers and flower growers, because in these sectors zeolites show all their chemical-physical properties (high and selective CSC, reversible dehydration, permeability, low density, high water retention ).

Zeolite can be used as it is, in its natural state, associating it both with traditional natural fertilizers (manure, livestock slurry) and synthetic fertilizers (soluble salts of nitrogen, potassium phosphorus), but it can also be used after enrichment (natural or artificial) in nutrients (K, NH4).

What most determines the beneficial effect of the zeolite is the type of soil in question, but it can be said, generally speaking, that the benefits grow in parallel with the increase in the limestone and siliceous component. It is not possible to define the absolute quantity, quality and method of use of zeolitites, since they change according to the type of culture and, therefore, must be carefully analyzed case by case.

However, it is possible to say that, other things being equal, the entity and quality of the results are all the more evident the greater the exchange quantity and the lower the Na content (an element harmful to crops) of the zeolite species.
